Continuing Education Committee

 

 

The ASNY Continuing Education Committee runs various programs throughout the year. These programs are typically 2-3 hours in length with one or more speakers presenting or discussing a topic relevant to actuarial practice (excluding Property & Casualty).

Typically, the committee's programs are similar to a session at an SOA meeting. In addition, each program may include time for members to socialize in an informal setting. The goal of these programs is to satisfy the following needs and desires of the members:

  • To increase technical actuarial knowledge relevant to a current work project
  • To improve general business skills for personal/career development
  • To provide continuing education credits - EA, MAAA, CPD
  • To create an environment for social interaction and networking
